The Different type of playing styles around the world in the Liverpool squad

The Different type of playing styles around the world in the Liverpool squad

In the Current Liverpool roster there are over 15 different nationalities varying from English, Brazilian, Serbian and Welsh. All these different nationalities bring different type of playing styles from around the world such as the flair and skill from Brazil to the hard work and efficiency from Germany.

The current Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has brought with him from his previous club Borussia Dortmund a very high intensity style of pressing which has the team pressing to win the ball back after losing and when you regain possession you go onto the counter attack, in-order for this to work the whole team needs to be working in a pack mentality,
this is also very physically demanding to do for a full 90 minutes since your going at full pace the whole time. This type of pressing is called gegenpressing and has been used by the likes of Barcelona and Bayern Munich under the manager Pep Guardiola. This pressing is also used around the world by German League teams, a few Spanish teams and it is used by the German National team.
